Hi, I’m Bisi!
If you want to learn more about mental health from someone who gets it you’re in the right place.
You’re tired of feeling unseen, unheard, or misunderstood in spaces that should uplift you.
That’s why I’ve created a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood—because you deserve nothing less. My resources and content are designed with your unique experiences in mind, offering culturally affirming tools and strategies that truly resonate. Whether through empowering blog posts or practical digital resources, my goal is to uplift and support you in a way that feels authentic, meaningful, and tailored to your journey.
Here, your voice and story matter, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you bloom into your fullest potential.
As a black girl from the suburbs and a child of an immigrant, I know not everyone gets your story.
For a lot of my life, I felt the pressure to be everything for everyone, often at the expense of my own mental health. Over time, I realized that real strength lies in prioritizing my well-being and giving myself permission to heal and grow. Blooming with Bisi is my way of sharing that journey with you, offering tools and encouragement to help you prioritize your own mental health and personal growth.
Blooming With Bisi
Growing up, I was taught that Bisi means Blessing, or Royal Blessing if you want to go with my full name of Adebisi.
Blooming With Bisi is more than just naming my business after myself.
Going by Bisi has never been done to make my name more palatable to non-Yoruba speakers (don't ask me about my last name though that's a different story).
It was done out of the traditions of my father's culture. Every part of my name has meaning. Whether I answer to Adebisi or Bisi, the name I go by is still intentional.
Through Blooming With Bisi, I hope that in whatever ways you engage with my work you walk away blessed as though something positive has been added to your life. So that after every interaction, you leave changed for the better.
Bisi
(bee-see)
Language of Origin: Yoruba
1. Blessing.
2. To bring abundance.
3. To produce more.
At Blooming with Bisi, everything I do is guided by one mission: to help women improve their mental health. I know how hard it can be to prioritize your well-being in a world that often demands so much. This space was created to give you the resources, encouragement, and culturally affirming tools you need to take charge of your emotional wellness and thrive in your own way.
Here at Blooming with Bisi, you’ll find:
A blog filled with practical strategies, inspiration, and encouragement for emotional well-being.
Digital tools like affirmations, planners, and worksheets to support your mental health journey.
A community rooted in empowerment and healing.
Representation matters. We know our lived experiences aren’t understood by everyone.
That’s why everything I create is intentionally designed with Black women in mind—so you can feel seen, understood, and supported as you embark on your mental health journey. You deserve a space that recognizes your worth and empowers you to thrive.
I’m a Therapist, But Not Your Therapist
I want to be transparent with you—while I am a licensed therapist and have a passion for helping women improve their mental health, Blooming With Bisi isn’t a therapy platform. I’m not here to be your therapist in this space, but I do offer resources, insights, and support grounded in my clinical background. Think of this as a place where you can find tools to support your mental wellness and personal growth, but not a replacement for professional, individualized therapy.
I’m so glad you’re here, and I truly believe that taking this step toward your healing is powerful. Whether you're looking for a bit of encouragement, tools that connect with your experience, or personal support, I’m here to help. Explore the blog, download resources that resonate with you, or reach out to me if you feel ready for more guidance. You deserve to feel seen and supported, and I’d love to be part of your journey as you bloom into your best self!
I’ll See You Soon,
Bisi
